Podcast Episodes #6 & #7: Colby La Brie
Sporting events such as the Ironman World Champs in Kona, Hawaii require every last ounce of human effort and mental strength. And whilst we can improve our endurance through hours of practice, sometimes there is little we can do when situations arise that are beyond our control – such as the weather! In these two podcast episodes we hear from Colby la Brie, a recent convert to triathlon who qualified for this year’s Ironman Champs. And as we hear from Colby, Ironman 2014 competitors were faced with the strongest winds that have been recorded on the course in the last 15years – something a first timer might be a little intimated by, but Colby battled through with courage and determination! Listen along for an insight to what it takes to be an Ironman athlete!
